15SpringMusicPoetrySMJoin Ariose in an evening of musical settings of poetry. Classic settings by Thomas Morley, Claude Debussy, Johannes Brahms, and Jean Sibelius demonstrate the approach to beautiful text settings throughout history. Juhani Komulainen’s “Four Ballads of Shakespeare” and Einojahnni Rautavarra’s “Suite de Lorca” showcase the modern Finnish approach to two well-known poets. Other settings include “i am not yours” by Z. Randall Stroope, and “Vita De La Mia” by William Hawley.
